Case study

Paycasso

Apply innovative facial recognition throughout their software and services, built by tsf.tech to authenticate the identity of consumers, primarily in Fintech.

Background

The digital age has brought about the extraordinary expansion of global commerce, however in concert with this growth has been the escalating costs of not only individual identity fraud but customer safety and frustrations.

Paycasso’s suite of identity products provide the immediate, lucid and secure answer to this global issue of trust and support of a frictionless user experience.

Paycasso supplies a comprehensive suite of solutions ensuring a safe and secure environment for both the enterprise and the consumer, supporting an array of global industries. Online access presents security challenges throughout the supply chain. Their product suite ensures instant and non-repudiated system access across the following: registration, enrollment and authentication, e-commerce, information access and information sharing.

Russell King, founder and CEO of Paycasso was looking for a company who could architect and build a product that could be rolled out globally. tsf.tech was chosen as the strategic technology partner to architect, build and deploy the product suite.

What we delivered

Paycasso’s suite of identity products provide the immediate, lucid and secure answer to this global issue of trust and support of a frictionless user experience.

  • Stage 1

Built an MVP in eight weeks using the new technical stack (Scala, iOS, C++ with AMQP messaging).

  • Stage 2

Researched & implemented advanced image processing, computer vision, and biometric computer vision algorithms.

  • Stage 3

Developed and deployed asynchronous, resilient and scalable messaging, deployed on cloud infrastructures.

  • Stage 4

Introduced modern DevOps approach that would allow the system to deal with spikes in demand as well as spin out new instances of the system in minutes.

  • Stage 5

Provided complex testing suite that verifies that false positives and false negatives, as well as the performance of the biometric and vision components fall within acceptable range.

  • Stage 6

Implemented test suites that verify that all components (mobile, orchestrator, vision, auditing) behave as expected within the specified performance constraints.

  • Stage 7

Invested in Paycasso as a startup venture with the full tsf.tech support, whilst also providing ongoing ‘CTO-as-a-Service’ for future development.

“The ability to understand not only the technical side, but the commercial application as well, is rare. tsf.tech take the time to understand the business itself and the vision for the future”
